coconut
We are never far away from coconut in our chocolate factory. It's a food that doesn't usually find it's way into chocolate, but for us it is an important part of the final product. The organic coconut butter we use in virgin cold-pressed, which means that it has been processed without the use of heat. Like the rest of our ingredients, we aim to preserve as much goodness as nauture intended them to contain, and cold / low-heat processing is an important part of the plan. Another good reason to use coconut butter / oil in the chocolate is that it makes the chocolate that little bit more soft.

the Big FAT Question
Does coconut butter increase cholesterol? 'No' you may be surprised to hear. In fact, whilst coconut oil is a saturated fat, it is by no means bad for us. It contains a multitude of wonderful healing properties from relieving hemorrhoids through to curing athelete's foot. When digested, coconut oil is converted into energy rather than fat, so many people find they have more energy and can lose weight more easily with it's consumption.
